okay changes made, better or worse?

This is only the second site I have done without any templates. It is a CSS site. I pretty much have been doing the tutorials online. I really don't know what to do with the color scheme. The "customer" wanted brown and yellow. That was pretty ugly. I still have the style sheet for the brown/yellow on the server. Well be critical, I'm not a person who's feelings are hurt easily. I prefer the raw truth.

    Thanks

    Oh, here is the site

Bellsouth servers have been down lately. Let me know if they are down again. Last check was o.k.

I made some changes, let me know.

Its a nice and simple web site. But your use of CSS has overlapped certain parts of the layout when viewed in 800x600 resolution.

I think you should remove the dashed borders as they can catch the eye a bit while trying to read your content.

overall, its a simple site which needs some work but loads dead fast. 3/5

at the moment, i feel that the design lacks a consistent structure. the boxes appear to have almost been placed at random locations across the page.

I'd be tempted to tie in the content to a slightly more uniform structure - make the two main content boxes the same width, use the images more effectively - the smaller of the two once again looks randomly placed.

don't get me wrong, the site as a whole is quick and logical. i'd just tweak the placement of objects.

Would be interested in seeing the yellow/brown version for comparison.. there are shades of these colours that can work well together.

Hmm, your site doesn't seem to work in Mozilla. Screen shot attached.

It's might be quite involved. Take a look at the CSS section of www.w3schools.com for altenatives to the CSS methods you are using for layout at the moment. This takes a bit of research and trial and error. It's a shame but the different browsers don't deal with CSS in the same way.

The site is completly unreadable for me in mozilla 1.4. The black text is lost both on the gradiant and against the stones.
