Text is way too small and you've given it an absolute size so I can't increase it! That's one 'design feature' that stops me using sites. I don't want to struggle to read them.

    {Raises an eyebrow}

Sadly it is a valid point. Sites look great with tiny pixel fonts but if they aren't comfortable to read then people won't use them.

If you really want a tiny font then at least make it dynamic so that people can resize it.

BTW - I have 20/20 vision so I ain't gonna be alone when I say this.

Exactly why I said it hurts my eyes. There's no reason to have text that small.... it can't be cool if no one can read it.

graphics look nice though i agree with the comments above.
Also, dont hide the scrollbar like that. A good web site doesnt just look cool, it is also has to be useable. Usability is more important than looks.

I think it looks nice, but:

    1) do cache your images. for example the metallic sidebars are "static" so why store a copy of them for each page? I just makes the site slower.

    2) pixel fonts are nice, but they aren't for reading. you can use them, but don't use them for "long content".

    3) never - ever develop for only one browser, and one resolution. With 1024x768 the sidebars etc don't extend far enought!! And saying that you want me to use IE5 with 800x600 is offending the user - no matter how much "arty" your site is, you can't pick users based on your favourite browser.

    4) your main page is boring. I don't want to guess your content - you must present it to me or I'll just go elsewhere, where guests are greeted with short intros, preview pictures etc.

Reading the critique, remember that this is a true subject-matter expert forum. I wouldn't be this "evil" if I didn't think you could do better. Your design doesn't look bad, but it's not comfortable to use.

What they said + look again at ur nav: Bad slicing. Half of the templates button is part of the tutorial image. Makes ur rollovers look really pants.

I really liked the site, as a matter of fact I bookmarked it. I didn't delve into the code or anything, but:
    -it loaded fast
    -it looks good
    -nice content, get more
-found a few dead links in there
-the pixel fonts didn't bother me, but I haven't been staring at a computer screen for 20 years either, gimme another 10 years and I'll start b*tchin'.
