Post Website Design Companies Website Goes Live: Opinions Please??

New site replacing my old site that I hated. Goal is to look like a company that can handle designing a site for others. Be harsh but I'd also like to hear the concepts and thoughts of the parts of the site you liked. It does require a phone and PC to experience all aspects of the fully Responsive design. Thanks!

    Thanks
There's a point here, and you couldn't have missed it more thoroughly.

Seems like they don'y mind spending money to try to fool people...
I wonder what's the point of posting it on these forums...

If you notice, all the theme-stealers are new to the forums, most with 5 posts or less - if they go above 5 posts it's in defense of their site.
If they had been here for any length of time or read any posts besides their own, they would realize how useless it is to post that kins of site.
They will be called out, and if they think it's worth that to have the link on here, they obviously have not read the fact that this is a "nofollow" forum.

It isn't any more, Mare. Ever since the move back to vBulletin from XenForo, the nofollow attributes were removed from links. Not really sure whether it was by accident or design...my hunch is accident.

ViruZX: to answer your question a little more in-depth, it's an exercise in ego inflation. "Look at me, look what I 'built'!" Criticism is to be fought at any and all costs, and only positive comments are to be accepted. That way, the poster 1) is always right and 2) only hears and sees what (s)he wants to hear and see.

Logic and facts are also irrelevant. If you can name the template, as at least one of the mods usually can (Mare is the expert here), that doesn't matter. "Everyone does it." "All the other sites do it." (Yeah, MLB and Google are totally known for their usage of Wordpress templates). "It doesn't hurt anyone." "The content is original." (It usually isn't.) That's Level 1 of Template Argument Stupidity.

Once Level 1 is completed, we proceed to Level 2. Level 2 consists of "u guys are all loosers, I'm going to Digital Point where they get it" (translation: they sold me a get-rich-quick site idea and I like getting rich quick even though I never will)...or "my site is better than yours and makes more money"...or "ur an idiot, u don't understand how design works"...or my personal favourite, "u guys should shut up or I'll tell one of the mods to ban you". As of yet, no one has asked me to ban me.

Unfortunately, Level 2 is like that Super Mario Brothers modded level that starts with Mario falling into a hole...it's unbeatable. It's a pathetic attempt to reclaim some semblance of self-worth, knowing that others have completely devalued one's peer worth. It only gets worse and worse and more and more belligerent. Picture a neverending political debate on a wedge issue but with the potential for a few swear words and you'll get the idea.

This is typical. When one doesn't think for oneself, one doesn't think for others. Templates require no real thought.

It's also one of the many reasons I can't stand W*rdPr*ss...it has conclusively demonstrated the collective level of website community sloth and irrational self-interest. "I can set up a site in 5 minutes and add a template in 10. Website Design Special, $499!"

Whats worst is listening to a design teacher explain to his students that they can do this sort of thing to add more income and services to their resume.

Long story short.. Called him out on it and he began to contradict himself after about 10min of trying to explain to me how this is even an ethical conversation much less good advice to give to students

Good for you, man. Good for you. Don't ever, ever let anyone off the hook for this sort of thing. Stay on his ***.

Go over his head if he starts to try and "punish" you for standing up to him on this. This is exactly the kind of crap that has to stop.

Oh trust me, i don't let ignorant people try to pass their ignorance on to others without some sort of confrontation. I am very outspoken, sometimes too much but if its something i believe or dont believe in I make sure my voice is heard!
