Looking for feedback on my personal website :)

    Hi everyone,

My name is Chris & I'm a junior web developer currently working freelance. I just finished a rough version of my personal site Chris Holyoake | Front-End Web Developer & Digital Marketer.

I wanted to focus on optimizing for conversion rate, so I hope that translates to the site. Let me know what you think!

    Thanks
    Chris

I'm viewing this on my phone and it's a bit confusing. It took me a good 60 seconds to figure out how to get to the navigation. Other than that it's a bit plain. You need more color for sure. Best of all it doesn't appear that you used a template which alphamare will hopefully confirm. It's a pleasant surprise because most of these new "designers" buy or use a free theme for their personal website which is just wrong in my oppinion.

So I just keep scrolling and all I am seeing is "Through Superior Design". You have the navigation menu on bottom, which is completely wrong. Your whole presentation of content is wrong. Think like a user. If you visit your site what would you want to see first? Answer is: Some sample work that would immediately attract the attention of the user. The navigation is very important and all important stuff should be above the fold, i.e. user do not have to scroll down to see it. Overall, the site is very simple and lack visual appealing.

I agree that that navigation button should be up top, or at the very least visible without needing to scroll. I also have a horizontal bar at the bottom which needs fixing (1366 x 768). You can use something like Screenfly to test what your website will look like at various resolutions, though it isn't always 100% accurate.
