About LinkBacksOur studio was recently commissioned by our local government to feature our growing Tech Industry. We worked in partnership with both the Region of Durham, and a startup accelerator; The Spark Centre.
We were responsible for the branding, user interface design and user experience. We also heavily influenced the information architecture.
The site is being used to help attract foreign investment and large businesses looking to expand internationally. (Mostly from German and China)

Thanks for checking out the site. You're right mate, built on the Divi theme.
We use it predominantly for the page builder as the time savings are so substantial when it comes to populating content.
It would be awesome if they released the page builder as a stand alone plugin. I know other page builders exist, but I haven't found one that I'd consider handing over to a client without fearing that we'd get a dozen support calls.
Is it a sin to use Divi as a framework? I get the sense you've got beef with that... Does it have to be built line for line to get your stamp of approval? We've got plenty of those I'd be happy to show you.

No we do not have a problem with using themes. What we have a problem with is people using a theme and passing it off as their own work.

That was never my intention. But you're absolutely right. I'll make sure to give credit where credit is due on future review posts when using a theme.

That is the best possible answer you could have given. Most people would have come up with some belligerent defense coupled with projections, but you understood what our objections were and respected them.
