My Personal Website btw My Brain is Fried

Wow, I am really intimidated to be posting my site on here. I've been going through some of the sites and they are very good.

I'm getting back into HTML and I'm slowly building my webpage up. It will forever be a work in progress.

Please don't chew me out too bad. Here's the site!

So do you want to receive some harsh but constructive criticism that will only help you improve if you take it as criticism rather than insults.

Or we can sugar coat **** and say good job n we can all move on?

Ill be honest this industry is very critical of peoples work. It will be intimidating! If you cant handle criticism you need to

    1) learn to use constructive criticism to improve your skills

    Or..

    2) Pick a new business to jump into!

To be honest, it is a HOT mess from using tables instead of proper divs to the overly outdated graphics. You need to look at other nice websites and come up with a better overall design for yourself, if you can do that, and then code it.

Are you talking about the C64 graphics? I want to go a little retro.

I'll replace the tables with divs eventually.

    My first impressions:
Slow loading, all circle area should be clickable, to much space used for header.

I like pixelized image, but it should be minimized or removed when scroll down.

I personally like the pixelated graphic as well. Did you create it? It is extremely slow to load tho.

The circles inside the header are not very pretty to look at. Especially the pink one. The contrast is not there at all.

Fix the tables later? If i were you that would be the main priority! Its not responsive at all on my phone.

Okay, how about a navbar on the top with buttons? I'll do away with the circles entirely.

As for the tables I will replace with divs.

The pixelated graphics are screenshots of classic games that ran on the Commodore 64.

    - get rid of the i-frame D:
    - use divs instead of tables.
    - not sure about the round buttons, there is too much wasted space and i find the writing hard to read, especially the graphics button.
    - going between pages seems to throw the page content off from centre, i noticed this when clicking on the video page.
    - your resume' page isn't formatted at all and doesn't link back to your main site.

other than that, for your backgrounds, give this a read https://css-tricks.com/almanac/prope...age-rendering/
pixel art looks a lot better when it's sharp.

    ---

to be honest, there isn't a lot i would keep from this design... but that's just me
(it doesn't look any worse than some of my first designs :P)

Id be careful with using screenshots of video games. There may be some copyright issues that come from that.

http://fairuse.stanford.edu/overview...yright-basics/ have a look there for more info on copyrights.

Alright, I've changed the front page.

I got rid of the circles.

I kept the iframe because I want to have my blog listed.

    However, there are two issues:

The navbar section with the "Who" "What".... it's too tall for my liking and I've tried stuff to get to shrink it down but haven't figured it out.

My iframe only shows a small box with my blog. I want to make that bigger if possible. Is there a better way to link my blog other than using iframe?

The other pages I'm going to edit as I have the time.

Thank you all for your feedback.
