    Feedback on my website

    Hey everyone!

I'm doing a design course and the current module has me creating a website. I was wondering if I could get some feedback before I submit my assignment.

The brief didn't require me to make the website responsive so to aid me in focusing on the design I have set the website to a static size.

I've ran my website through a few validation websites and it seems to be all in order. There are however some warnings about the code in the slideshow plugin but I don't have the skill to rewrite the code for it. It seems to work in all the browser I've tested so I've decided to leave the plugin in my site.

Also, ignore the images of tables on the pages, these are just placeholders.

Any feedback on the design would be much appreciated!

The biggest problem is that it is impossible to understand what the website is about by looking at the homepage.

It's about Netball. From what little I know of it, it's a basketball variant that seems to be more crowded and played at a bit faster pace.

I'm not sure how you validated it, but it doesn't appear to be in order on this end of things.

I'd also clean up the inline styles where possible. As was suggested in the slider, move them into a CSS file and use classes/IDs for them. It's better practice. The answer posted below explains why.

If you want to avoid some of the errors, I'd suggest not using a slideshow at all. A flat image would serve the purpose just as well, and would reduce bandwidth and validation errors in the process.

Not a bad college project overall, though!

Hmm I think you should use put more picture in your homepage. The loading speed is quite good. Font is okay, but I think you can make it a little bit smaller. Overall your website is okay. 7.5/10
    Hope this help
