Just started www.truewebsitedesign.com. Let me know what you think!

My brother and I just started a web design business based out of Lubbock Texas, and our site is Website | Design | Lubbock | SEO | Hosting | Marketing - True Website Design. We could use some reviews and ideas about the look and feel of the site itself. Please have a look and let me know what you think or if you find anything buggy with it. We want to make sure its very professional and user friendly. After all a web design company should have a heck of a good website to prove their value.

    Thanks!

Well to start its a theme. You changed it, just personally I don't think it was for the better.

You made a statement along the lines of "we have some traits that you wont find at any other agency". This is going to be a tough statement to stand by.

SEO, oh SEO... You make claims that non devs may believe, but the truth is you can't guarantee any page rank, this is an impossible task as too many variables make up page rank.

Theres some more problems that you have, but theres one major problem. You're a liar. You are either lying to us, or to the clients. You say here that you just started the business, but on your site you say you have years of experience, have clients and are known in the area. I can't get past this.

From everything I have noticed, its hard for me to believe that you have any experience at all. You also do not showcase any of your work and give very short and vague descriptions of what you do and how you do it. If you are just starting out that is fine, everyone needs to start somewhere. Just do not pretend you have been in the business for "years."

Another Wordpress "designer"! Are all the inexperienced design/developer wannabees buying into online offers that supposedly help them pass their work off as professional? It seems to be an invasion.

Best of luck with your new business but I must say give your clients some thing unique so that they will come bask to you again and again.

" We have done some incredible work and plan to continue providing the most magnificent website development on the market. " oh no.... Where is that work, where are your awards for being the most magnificent? I think saying "We are just another Wordpress web development company" would attract more clients, at least somebody would appreciate your honesty.

Look and feel seem to be ok. Did not see any sample work as well.

also the site was very slow for me to load. Maybe it was just me but tried on two different connections.

Well, this is different. It's a WordPress theme:

Chimera - A Light, Bright WordPress Theme - WordPress | ThemeForest

But it appears to be a Joomla! site from the looks of it.

Designers are getting lazier and less creative as we go.

Oh, I don't know about that. It takes a certain amount of creativity to combine two purchased themes into one and then use it on a platform other than that which it was designed for.
But I digress - what I meant to say was "DON'T TAKE CREDIT FOR DESIGN WORK THAT IS NOT YOURS!!!"
Sorry - did I shout? My bad. I know I have posted about this before - I just felt the need to emphasize my feelings here.

You have a nice looking site and I like the colors. 99% of people wanting a website built have no clue what the differences in website platforms are and most could give a hoot one way or the other.

When I'm on the hunt for something in the net I pay no attention to whether the site is a cms, html-css or any other platform. I purchase the socks and blankets for my two pet mules and Morgan horse off a website that had to be built in Frontpage 97 or 2000.

It has nothing to do with what or how the site was built, it's all about the quality of the content they sale and their awesome customer support.

    I wish you good luck.

Coming from a "content marketing" background (years before it was called that) I can appreciate designers and developers keeping this in mind. Design and development is very important, but is a waste if the content and support are absent. It takes a balance of all to make a successful site.
