Here is a proposed redesign for an existing site (web design/dev/hosting company):

    http://www.alexbilstein.com/tmp/mock02.gif

It's just a mockup right now, without full content. I would appreciate any comments on the layout so far. Do you like the color scheme? Layout? Too plain?

    Thanks for any help!

Very nice and clean. I love what's there right now, with the small exception of the font for the main text... althought hat will most certainly change by the time it gets to html. Good job and keep it comin!

I like it too - simple and professional. One of my favorite parts is the computer: it's eye candy. Without going overboard or looking cheesy, see what else you can add to the site, possibly through the banner, to make it more appealing, yet still professional. As long as you're planning on rollovers, I think what you've got so far is great.

I concur with all the above. I wasn't sure at first about all the different variations on blue, but I think it works.

Thanks for the feedback! Just to mix it up, here is the first version I was working on:

Had some comments that people didn't like the orange. Anyone like the orange highlights better?

I like the orange a lot, and I like the globe better than the computers with empty chairs.

Doesn't get much better than that. Consider yourself perfect.

I like the orange better. The white outline around the orange pieces don't look great on the LCD I'm on*, but the orange definately adds some needed color and looks great to me.

*Just hafta post this somewhere, the LCD I'm on right now is our lab's brand new 23-in Mac widescreen. This thing is enormous. :-)
