I had problems with the slider, to white and didn't capture my attention at all.

I've never understood the point of these awards sites. They were a big deal when I started (in The Other Millennium) and they never really made a lot of sense to me back then. It just seems as though it's an arbitrary judgment of aesthetic with no regard to functionality or more importantly the success of the site...something no awards site could ever take into consideration.

Personally, I'd rather my clients make money than get an award for something I built.

There are some serious usability issues on the website, e.g. white is used for links and non-links (both look identical), static and clickable blocks look the same, some readability issues - too little contrast between text and background. Some fancy effects are used for the sake of using them - e.g. animated drop-down menu: there is no single benefit of making users wait over a second to see the menu links, it is just plain annoying. Also, some of the collapsible/hamburger menu links are for sections of the homepage, some for going to other pages - it is very weird and confusing. These are fairly major issues; although the website looks visually appealing, I like the branding and the images used, that is not enough.

I agree with theGAME, in my previous job had a couple of clients with very outside the box, award nominated websites that sucked in what they were supposed to do - to get some customers and promote the company, later they came back to their previous more casual designs that work. I am always very sceptical about these award things. However, I believe it is possible to have some award sites that take all important aspects into account - though that would be a harder job to select winners.
