    LaxRec.com review

Hey guys, I was wondering if I could get an honest review of my lacrosse recruiting website. Keep in mind that it is completely user experience based, so it is kept simple to focus completely on the content, which is the lacrosse profiles and school pages. Looking forward to your responses, as I trust this community the most to give good tips.

The first thing I noticed is that I can't conclusively determine the programming language or framework, and I don't see a theme. I'm guessing you're using .NET MVC, but I don't know for sure. That's a very good thing.

The reason I'm guessing at MVC leads to my major issue with the site; it's not responsive. Because you're using tables and sorting them, it's screwing with the site at smaller widths. If you're recruiting people to play lacrosse recreationally, they're going to be using Internet on recreational devices (e.g. cell phones and tablets). You're going to want to take this into consideration.

Your highlight film setup could use some work as well. Since e-commerce is involved, you'll want to use a privacy/return policy. You'll also want to indicate that people are going to go to PayPal to pay for it.

The search is incredibly quick, but I was looking for a submit button and couldn't find one. You'll want to include that.

Looks like you've got a good idea overall, and a fairly original one (which is more than most sites that get reviewed on here). So yours is a site that I want to see succeed. You do something original and different, you deserve to succeed. You just need to tweak, tweak, and tweak until you hit your formula.
If I've helped you out in any way, please pay it forward. My wife and I are walking for Autism Speaks. Please donate, and thanks.
