Personal webpage, want critique and comments!

This is my current concept: CodePen - A Pen by William stensen

I'm not too sure about the placement of the social icons and the search button. Preferably, I'd want them to be atop each other. Also, how can I make the page more mobile-friendly? Currently, it just removes the sidebar, but I don't know what to do with the nav bar. :/

    Thanks!

    Haha, sorry.
    Here's a fiddle with the page: https://jsfiddle.net/gloriousCatnip/37nbc03t/1/show/
Here's another page if the fiddle doesn't work: http://codepen.io/wostensen/full/ZLNdyV/

Just remove /show if you want to see the code.

It isn't bad. I would go for more space between the text and the sidebar's divider.

I'd suggest the same as Ron did. I might also look at that header image...it only scales horizontally.

Not sure if this is by accident or design, but the font size gets larger at smaller resolutions.

Yeah, it was by design (albeit, bad design haha).

When I tried to view the webpage on my phone, the text was very small. Thought that would help.
I found it weird tho. Viewing the smaller webpage on my PC, it looks ok. How can I fix that?

The sites needs more work. Also scrolling is buggy on mobile. Once you get past the header you can't swipe back up to it very easily.

    Thanks!

The webpage is currently under construction, so all constructive criticsm is welcome!
I've noticed that the page is slower on phone, but I don't know why. Wondering if it has something to do with Codepen.

I'll try to fix that problem, though!

    Hi.

I do not like the search button very much. And you would need to create a page that also has a mobile view (the font size doesn't help with that). Try working on the resolution that your phone has and see what that does to you. Also a contact page would be good. I also think the header is a bit big but that is not really a flaw. Not really accustomed with this type of pages, but for me it looks weird. Maybe because I like that my web experience is pretty linear and your website kinda disrupts this. If that was the goal, good job. If not, try to look at similar websites and see the style.

Anyway good luck and I hope my comment helped you at least a bit.
