P.S. The design may ring a bell for some of you. It was my entry in the June Contest ;-)

Hmm... I don't like it. Sorry bud, just nothing happening for me. Maybe a little more graphics, maybe a cooler color scheme... not too sure. It's damn usable, but not very pretty Also it goes a bit weird in firebird. Left/right colomns get really skinny. I think a header would do this site wonders... and maybe changing that pinkish color scheme.. .never was fond of that color =x

    hey transio,

It's true what Brak has said your site need's some sort of attraction at the min it looks too plain and boring.

Add a nice header maybe change the layout to something a little more stylish

I think you should give your text styles a decoration maybe an underline or something..

Give your site some sort of main navigation. You have a lot of link's so maybe something like a dhtml menu..

    anyhow gd luck

Very friendly interface. Very nicely organized. Very slick. Excellent use of muted colours and icons. Simply awesome.

It is my opinion that some designers will not like this site as it lacks any 'flare'. Truth be told, you could use a couple of images - just for their metaphorical value (not to mention that search engines like to see at least a couple). But don't let any bad reviews sway you. This design is outstanding. A lot of designers out there could take a lesson from this website.

Obviously, your target audience here is nerds, geeks and propellerheads, of which I am not one. But I firmly believe that this design will speak directly to your audience, which is all that reall matters.

My one minor criticism is that yoru navigation could be a bit better organized. It appears on both sides of the page. Now, I can understand why you did this - screen real estate, right? Well, just make sure that your links are grouped appropriately. For example, all download and service links on one side (the left, I would say) and all links to supplmentary or educational resources on the right.

    Hope that helps.

I am humbled by your skill, oh great usability one. Jacob Nielsen himself should check out your site.

Thanks for all the feedback, guys. Obviously I'm a little short of pizzaz... something I'll add once I get the "meat" of the project done (which isn't the website, but the XML/EDI stuff).

Regarding the banner / logo / etc... I think you're all right.. I'll see what I can whip up.

Regarding the 2-sided nav... this is a "homepage" layout. Subsequent pages would lose the links on the right side.

Regarding the organization of links... The stuff on the right is the ancillary info, because it doesn't pertain to the open edi stuff, but is just a little ego display and some ancillary services from my company.

Thanks again for the input, guys... I'll let you know when I've got some more to review.
