    Hello all - the attached is a screenie of a client website I am working on - he is sure fine with it, but I want to use it in my portfolio so as to impress potentials - I'm wondering what you all think of it and what you would change.

    Thanks,
    [Li] Brad

    Looks great. I really does. Maby a discreet texture on the gray part of the graphics in order for it to be more "busy", but just a hint, don't over do it. Some extra cotent woudn't hurt also.
    Other than that is a good looking site. Good Job.

    I think I know what it is... The greys don't match up with the banner... try some blues instead of the greys

    Personally, I would:

    - Sharpen up the banner text, it isn't of the best quality;
    - Use rollovers on the links at least, or preferably use quick loading rollover images;
    - Sort out the corner on the grey banner just to the right of the navigation bar.

    Yeah the banner text is a shocker, all round the site is generally good, just needs to be cleaned up and developed further if you ask me.

    Alright thanks everyone. A few things:

    > When you say the text in the banner is "a shocker" Dan, what do you mean? If you are refering to the pixelated look, that is a result of the large font size. If it bothers that many of you, I may be inclined to change it...
    > I updated the site and put it on the net so you can peruse through it if you like: Intermix
    The content pages arent filled in yet, still awaiting info from client, and PHP scripts are under developement.

    More comments welcome,

    The thing with that pixel font, is that it shouldn't be that large. Pixel font's are generally only meant to be 6-9 pt. That being said you could use a more standard font and pull of that look. Try Eurostile Extended...it will look a ton better than the pixel look.

    The right hand side of the header looks kind of chunky. You've got a big lump of gray after the swoosh. What might look cool there is take the "Now Playing" and put it somewhere up there to break it up a bit.

    Also, the curves need some work. You've got a really blurry look to the one on the header. And the one above the nav is jagged. Hopefully, our comments and suggestions don't get you discouraged. Like you said...it's for a portfolio, kick it up a notch and it'll look sweet.

    Some good suggestions so far. A few more:
    1. The "Welcome to Intermix Radio" text is a little close to the boxes to the right of that text. I'd make that paragraph a little narrower.
    2. Look at the site in another browser. In Mozilla, those boxes I was just talking about have an error in the title image. It's tileing, meaning I see more than one silver bar behind "current news" etc.
    3. A little more color wouldn't hurt, the banner is colorful and graphical, but the rest of the site is a depressing gray. Keep going with the color!
    That's about it, keep up the good work.
