Thanks to those who replied to my post about my Logo's - after reading those and talking to loads of mates - I have chosen logo 1

Here is the link to the initial layout - any feedback is much much appreciated as always!

I wouldn't have adverts on a web design site, very unprofessional.

Try to cranks the overall font size on those headers down a bit. You lose alot of sensitivity when they're that large.

i like 5,9 and #10 of your logos from yesterday. looks nice. I would center it on the html page. i have the script if you need it. watch your spelling of "Catalogue" at least in U.S.A I think. Did you use fireworks for layout? I would make it advertisement free.

drop me an email when its online

Yeah I did use fireworks for the layout - at the moment it is only an idea - not a finished product.

I have had thoughts about the advert section - i will now make it a portfolio of my sites.

I'm ok for scripts thanks brian - I am more of a developer than a designer so the programming aspects of a site come a lot easier to me than this designing lark!

Thanks for the replies so far

Are you going to make the fonts in the text section any larger? They are really, really small on my screen. I'm on a Mac Powerbook running OS X (10.3).

It's alright for a layout. The text in the header could be smaller IMO. I'm curious to know what kind of "members" section a web design site could have? Are you going to offer space for other designers to get work too?

no - i think members is the wrong word - it will be a place clients can go to view their website's progress as it is being built. So basically you will log in and see how your site is coming along and each day a small log will be made which the 'member' or client can view and question if they wish.

I am also doing another couple of designs - i will post here when done
