    It's a good start - the border is a little heavy and I think that the dark colors of the border and header will contrast too much with the content areas and the background whitespace :ermm: unless you are still planning to change it, I would modify the colors a bit more.

    I agree, those borders look like they will be distracting while trying to read text. Also, they create a lot of odd shapes which you won't be able to do much with, so it looks like it's gonna waste a lot of space.

    I agree thin out the borders
    try fixing the bevel and emboss on the second line of the logo. try setting the depth to 1000 percent and lower the size

    the white spots arent supposed to be there, im just to lazy to finish the design, yet i started it all over right now, ill let you guys know what i have the full template done. thanks for the usefull tips.

    Oh and also the text is so jaggy, when your making your new design in PS make sure your text layer is set to sharp or crisp so that you dont have jaggy edges.

    - i recommend never using a bevel
    - and try to avoid drop shadows on text

    hmm the Filter > Render > Clouds seems too strong... try changing the opacity of it... it makes the text hard to read. As also stated, the bevels are a bit strong...
