I've been working with webdesign since June 2003. This is my new site, made for my scoutgroup (actually a part of the group, everyone is 17 years old and above). The text is in Norwegian, but I want feedback on my design only. If you have any tips, and you want to mail me, use the contact script, or post it here. Remember that i'm a newbie, and finnaly, excuse my poor English, it's not my "thing".

I really like the look. It looks appropriately cold for Norway with all the grey and the snow-covered logo.

It's also really easy to navigate. Even though I don't speak Norwegian, I understood what all the links were.

    I like your guitar-chord tool.

The only thing I don't like is the orange accent color. It's just not a favorite color of mine, especially as a contrast with grey.

    Nice work!

Norway is NOT that cold. It's the 9. December, and no snow And the logo is for Christmas alone.

Btw. Thanks, but i liked the orange colour.

I think it's not bad, but could use more graphic elements or contrast in the design, (colors for the background etc.)

For your orange links, try making them bold and they will be easier to see.

Also try adding some cell padding to the news section, the text as it is now (left aligned) is hard to read because there is no space between it and the black line.

I agree with LiBrad. It's a pretty good site, and it doesn't have many graphics. Adding a few grapical elements could make this even better.

    What kind of graphics?
    Some ugly menubuttons?
I had a heading, but it's replaced with a christmas heading.

the date of the first item is a little too close to the oringe bar the text on the other pages is similar, a little bit futher down would make it look a lot more ballanced. It throws you cos there is a deacent sized margin down the side.

Yes, some ugly menu buttons were exactly what I was thinking.

I was referring to a more impressive banner, and maybe a more exciting way to lay out the text. The site presents the information well, which is good, but it doesn't catch the eye. If you're going for a lean, fast loading site that is easy to read, you've got it. If you want to make it more attractive, some more colors or graphics would do the trick.
