Not bad, very simple design. One quirk I see is that you have two banners. I think it would look nice if you combine the two, you're wasting alot of valueable space at the top.

Other than that, the site looks ok. The content is a little weird, but you're doing just what you say: playing around w/ html and css. To get a better feel for making a website, make a mock website on a subject you're interested in, or invent a product and make a page for it. Part of the challanges when building websites is presenting information in a clear and interesting way. If you have specific information to present, that can help you build a better site (and it can also make the process more difficult!).

The layout is good.. But I think you should add some other color to the green and white. It will be more interesting then.

The html source is very professional

    Good Design!

    Good design over all

    My suggestions

[1] keep nav on top of page
[2] dont break header keep it whole
[3] remove background from nav links

    4/5 rating

    thanks

    please clarify dotcommakers

[1] keep nav on top of page - is it not allready ?
[2] dont break header keep it whole - what do you mean ? originally i was using positioning so the content was actually the first thing in the html, but that has been fixed.. is that what you were referrering to?
[3] remove background from nav links - why ? personal preference ?

[1] i mean absolute top of page... you have now below a part of header
[2] you have two header i mean you break your header into two parts first part of banner then a menu and then rest part of banner...
[3] remove background because it looks dull as my sense say to me

excuse my english it is really bad

I kind of like the "2 banners".. I think it looks interesting.. Thanks for your comments though. I am still deciding about the background color for hover links though.

Anyone else like or dislike the banner layout?
