I've worked on websites for a short while and have been beginning to get a bit of a sense on how to do things. I just wanted to see if there were any suggestions that could be thrown out here to make it better.

    http://notes.deadpoetry.net

It was designed for 800x600 screen size but I would have liked it if it looked the same in different resolutions. (Maybe someone can give me a hint for this one)

    Any and all inputs appreciated.

It looks okay on 1024 x 768 mate. I really like the design, although it isn' the sort of design I'd create, I can see you have put a large amount of time into creating it. All I would do is remove your intro screen, and then make the default site load up with some content explaining what the site is about? That's all. 4/5. Welcome to WDF.

I'd get rid of the splash screen, and put some text on the homepage. As it is now, visitors don't see any content until the third page. Also, the background image makes the white text hard to read.

The design is interesting, but I think it would look a little better centered vertically on the page. Either that or make the text area a little taller, and move the "mental notes" text down. Also, making that text a little less transparent should improve the readability.
