hi, heres my new online portfolio. i've only spent 1 day on it (all day today)
though i had the idea in my head for a few days.

    http://www.freewebs.com/cartoonfox/

its supposed to be a more relaxing site to the usual high paced site you see these days! (it'll have relaxing music when its finished)

so, even though theres not much, what d'yall think about the layout, transitions, colours etc.

also, on my crappy computer, some of the animations sometimes play slow (its 31 fps)
so whats it like on everyones computer/connection?

its my 3rd site, so i'm still learning a whole lot.

    thanks.

The text is hard to read: it's blurry, and it's a dark background that your dark colored text is on.

The transitions are cool the first time, and they're annoying after that. They create a waiting period that makes me want to leave. Also, I'm not a fan of music on websites. I listen to music while browsing the web, so any site that plays over my music I usually leave. If you're determined to put music on your site, make sure you include an on/off button.

    hi, thanks for replying.

the text is blury? thats probably because it a pixel font. i'll try and see why thats happening.

yeah, i think i should shorten the wait on the transitions. i'll see what i can do.
i also listen to music while browsing, so i'm thinking more subtle ambience background music than proper songs.

    thanks again for replying.

It's prety simplistic... my major gripe is the text -it's really hard to read and really takes away from the site. Also, what's so wrong with capitals? They make life much better - use them. Don't put music on it man.. it ruins sites. Ever site that has music gets closed out by me immediately. In fact... I need to find a mute extension for firebird hmmm...

Nice work, but make it more readable and it'll be much better.

    thanks for the advice.

its only 2 days in the making, so obvoiously it has loads of things to fix/do.

what i'm thinking of doing is, at the enter page, have two options. one is "enter with music" and the other is "enter without music" that would make everybody happy.

the text, is it too small or too dark/bright? or both?

    thanks again.

Don't make use of splash screen. My advice would be to have the music automatically off, and then use a button to allow it to play, which is visible.

With regards to your text, it's okay, I like it although I think you need to find a slightly more readable pixel font. Good work and keep it up .
