Something new I'm working on: http://www.transio.com/motopuntos/

I'm using some rarely-used techniques like layered scrolling divs for an irregular circular "frame" look, drop caps, and layered transparent flash (not in there yet).

This is obviously a project still under-construction.

I just wanted to get some design and browser compatibility feedback.

    Thanks !!!

The design looks pretty cool, although I'm not wild about the page background. In Firebird, the whole page allows for scrolling, so you can see the bottom part of the circle. However, the page is longer than it needs to be. And in IE, you can't scroll the page at all (you can scroll the div though), so the bottom of the oval gets cut off.

Looks pretty cool though, I like the idea.

It doesn't follow the paradigm of a "page." By having multiple parts scroll differently rather than the entire viewport, it's unnatural.

I like the general idea, the stuff outside the oval? Meh don't like it.

Also note that this mother is hell on graphics, I think because of the shadow on the oval. On anything with a slightly older video card scrolling is very slow and choppy.

I kind of like it. However, the e-mail button link at the top is too small. Took a couple of times of checking that page out to even see them up there.

Thanks again for all the comments, guys!

Filburt, I understand what you're saying. The scrolling would be limited to very few pages (ideally). Anyhow, the concept may be new, but I don't think it's much different from a scrolling site with a fixed bg. Maybe if I got rid of the big M in the middle it would be less dizzying. That would kinda kill the branding though.

Wired, the links at the top are less important ancillary pages (and will be duplicated on the homepage). The ones at left are the primary navigation.

Again, thanks for the feedback. I'll let you guys know when I've got the Flash content in so you can check it out

Final version won't have two scrollbars. At present, problem only exists in NS/Moz
