About LinkBacksI have made a quite complex header and i wanted to add vb strings in to it using the html, in order to do this i will have to split the images up around a table , so far i am having NO LUCk :cry: please could someone help me out ! i have attached a portion of the header and where i want the text to go ! cheers VERY COMPLEX I NEED ALOT OF HELP PLEASE ps image not coloured in yet !

What I did here for the seemingly complex postbit is make one background image and then tactfully arranged table cells.

exactly what i was thinking , but i was worried about the compatability in diferent browsers ! also my image would take a fair bit to load up , so i think i would need to split up certain portions of the header which is where i am confuddled !

Good luck with compatibility because especially when it comes to tables other browsers, in particular Netscape 4, screw things up. Even this site doesn't look perfect in Mozilla (although pretty close) and I only test it in IE and have long since given up hope on NS4.

woah... thats a great design but I dont know how you're gonna cut that up into tables, unless you have a LOT of nested tables...
One thing that came to mind, is to cut it into as many actual rows and columns, and anything that doesnt quite fit, such as the header image, table1 and table4, use CSS to position on z-layer 2... uh.. does that make sense to you?
The only problem with this is it will be quite rigid in terms of sizing and spacing, it wont expand to fill the page, or fit different size avatars and such...Visit Nahallan.com for game development, a webcomic, articles and more.

if you're gunna use layers ne way.
why not just lay that as a bg as it is, and put more layers on top with the text and images.
