Hello i am new to the forum and i am a bit of a car nut
I created a site to help people with modding there cars and would like your views on the site.

The site is best viewed at 1024x728 but i am not sure how to make it viewable on small resolutions.

    Your comments would be helpful
    thankyou

WEll, The navigation could use some rollover effects. Your car image at the top seems to be stretched and is not too attractive. The red background on the navigation with the blue tabs on the links looks a bit odd.. You shouldnt have all of your text italicized. THe last picture on your pics page has a blue hyperlink border.. none of your other pics do.

i am new to this web design stuff and this is my first web site that i have done. I need all the help i can get

I will work on the rollover images for the navagation bar, the image at the top i thought was cool but maybe not
I did not notice the blue border untill you said it so i will fix that now.

Do you know how i can make the site viewable in all sizes ie 800x600 etc???

Well, you first should make the site thinner on a 1024x728
and then when a 800x600 views it, it fills up the entire screen. You should change the rollovers so when you rollover them it goes from light grey to white. (The little boxes on the left of them) So the white or light grey would look better with the red, other than the blue. If this is your first site, it is pretty good so ide bump it up to a 4/5 :-D

So for the rollovers I suggest #cccccc to #ffffff.

you should change the "information" nav button to "info" as it takes up more room than the others inside their boxes and looks a bit out of place. But that might just be me...

not bad! but i can say very basic design.

[1] color combination is not good.
[2] cars in middle area are not good.. i mean how the are faded.
[3] in top "welcome" flash is not at proper place.. make header one piece and make a cool graphic and in right hand or left put your logo with motor graphics in bg or faded..
[4] menu fonts are too large. make them small and keep them in one same bg of that panel. add mouse overs also there.
[5] remove left panel and add banners of left side to bottom of main white area..

sorry but these are what i think .. will be good for your site.

    thanks and best of luck

1)instead of stretching and squashing the pics, try cropping them or finding other ones.
2)change the banner at the top showing just the wheels. i kept trying to scroll up by reflex! maybe its just me!
    3)change font
4)the black n white images in the body look like rollover images. i kept expecting them to change to colour! maybe not a bad idea?
5)The button colours dont really gel do they?
6)My collegue is drooling over my shoulder at some of the pics. this is not on!LOL

otherwise u got the basis of a pretty cool site. I like your picture viewer. is that a template? good luck!
