Recreating bobsonconstruction

I am supposed to redo this site. I am wondering what you guys think i should change around. He said he wants more of an appealing flashy look.

The first things i noticed to change are
- The Headers to each page, they just look to plain for what he wants
- The navigation definately. I like to stick to one navigation bar being on every page, all the time. He just butchered that up.
- Centering the page
- Adding some graphics to a few of the plain headers

I'm looking for any other suggestions that i could do to recreate this site. Thanks.

Get rid of the 'FrontPage' theme. Then I would advise doing all you've said. I don't think much could be changed apart from having a proper navigation bar. The content looks okay

do you think a sort of "wooden" theme would go well with this. I guess it would symbolize construction?



That's what i have so far for the wooden theme. The strip for the menu will go across the whole row, and also down the sides of the page, so it borders in the content.

Also, do you think some faded gridlines on the wood would better suit the construction theme?

* Make the navigation consistent over the pages, its too confusing atm.

You could try and use some technical plan/blue prints for a background, as long as it doesn't look too corny.

For the header/nav you're working on so far, don't apply bevels to everything in sight, leaving the nav text plain makes it easier to read. - Concentrate the style on the main title.

Also, make your corners round, having a round banner and rounded off corners in your text, along with a blocky body dosnt look great. Try rounding some corners.

the logo and the whole site look very differently. I suggest a full redesign with the same colors of the logo...
