Thats the start of my new online portfolio. I'd really love some comments and suggestions for it. It's not completely done still working on all the coding, so I just posted the layout of the site so far. Thanks in advance.

I've seen so many people use "The digital playground of...", its actualy becoming a cliché in terms of portfolio sites, surely you can use something else.

I don't really like the tenticles, whats their intended purpose ? - They'll probably become distracting when it comes to showing your work in the main content area as they'll direct the viewers eye away from the page.

How does the navigation look if you centre the button text horizontaly ?

Taking in account that the pixel font used for the navbar is difficult to read, and that it's vertical, it will difficult to read it.
Will this be done in Flash or in HTML/CSS?

I don't like the font in the nav too, maybe try changing it too 04b08. I suggest you get rid of those tenticles and leave only your logo there, then just center your layout.

    hmm

The site will be done in html/css and thanks for all the suggestions and tips. I'm working on changing the pixel font right now to something more readable. Also someone said changing the navigation to something horizontal. Did you mean putting the navigation on the bottom of the "text box"? Thanks again!

It would be sweet if you could make those tentacles animated in flash.... like a perpetual octopus motion out the side of your website.

    y

I HAD thought about doing that, and figured they would be too distracting. Heck I'm getting that their too distracting now. Right now i'm working on making it more user friendly and less distracting, without taking away too much. I'm also thinking about doing some free sites to get more into my portfolio. Any more comments suggestions? I'll be posting an updated picture for the site soon.

    Thanks again.

Maybe have one of the tenticles be red liek the A in your logo, to make it stand out and add some color. Or maybe have the rollovers turn red on your navigation. Nice site, Dont make them move though. If you do, have a preloader, and when it finishes loading, have them move around for 10 seconds or so then stop. 4/5 right now, I like it. I agree with the font though.
