I would appreciate any feedback on this yet to be completed website:

    http://www.pixelative.com/hessel_splash.html

I'm concerned about the file sizes of pages. Using a image roll-over script and trying to comprimise between image quality and size has been the main challenge. I would have prefered to have gone with a simpler way of displaying the images but the client wanted the roll-over effect.

    Thanks in advance

Its clean and to the point. I am not a fan of splash screens and if it is a professional website I would suggest trashing yours. If it is purely recreational then keep it if you like it.

The pictures seem relatively fine and fastloading. Then again I have a relatively fast computer and cable internet... so I really wouldn't know.

I think it is a very nice and professional looking design, especially for the type of site it is. I think the color works very well.

I would have to agree about the splash page though. Perhaps you could have the 'main' page more simple.. getting sort of the splash page feel, with a minimal amount of content, but enough to give the viewer some ideas about your work. The content on the main page is good, but I think sometimes a more minimalistic first impression is good.

I don't really think the Splash page it at all needed. You have the same image on the homepage as well.
It's not a bad design it's nice and simple, easy to use. I would however try to spice up the banner a bit and try to make it look more like your site, at the moment it looks a little out of place and off topic.

    Other then that it's alright.

Wow! I hate splash pages, but yours is the most beautiful I've ever seen!

It would be less confusing if you put the word 'sculptor' under your name.

But keep the black bkground for that introductory sculpture.

And good luck with your work. I'm knocked backwards!
