    Hi Everyone,
I just finished redisigning this searchengine.
    http://www.bsearchengines.com
My focus wasn't on the content but rather layout. It was done with Dreamweaver. Can you guys please tell me what you think about the design, and a final "approve" or "disaprove". Also any additional comments about this searchengine would be welcome.
your replies will be very appreciated,
    thanks,
    Greg

I'm not a fan of the color. Too much purple. Also, the sections on the left that are alternating white/purple, the sections w/ a purple background are hard to read. The ad under your search box is extremely hard to read too. I hope you didn't rate your own site 5/5. and vote that you approve of the design.

I think the shape under the search box is out of place and the header is way too far away from the rest of it. In some places you have curved lines and in others just a normal box. You should decide on just one theme because at the moment it just seems all over the place.

I wouldn't advise on having the "Home" button where it is now because you have to scroll down to see it and it is just in the middle of nowhere.

OK. If that was made in dreamweaver then it should be waaaaaaaay better!! Dreamweaver is one of the leading web site design programs and can create much better sites when used in conjunction with graphic design programs like Fireworks (one of my main ones), Photoshop, Illustrator e.t.c. Just my opinion.

I think having sans serif and serif fonts on the same page is a mistake. But that is just my preference.

Sorry, I'm with the rest of the gang... it just doesn't look "search enginey" if you catch my drift.

Dreamweaver does not make good sites.. Good designers make good sites. But yea Im going to have to vote this site off the island. It just does not look professional. All the links make it look intemidating.. Its too busy. I defenatly wouldnt use it. I would stick with the layout format that you see on most other search engines as boring as it may seem, its familar to users. Also dont smother it with color, hint at color. You probably can use purple, but use it as a 'theme' not as an 'explosion'.

All Images and Programming Are Copyrighted.
By who, exactly? I call copyright! And I get it now, because I called it, stamped it, no eraseys, nothing you can do about it! (I love being childish.)

Maybe it's the hardcore geek in me, but I just don't like sites that appear to be recycled CGI scripts that someone threw onto a cheap hosting plan somewhere, slap-assed a few sites into the database, and said "look mom, I made a directory." Do it right, do it from the ground up, get your hands document.write "dirty";. Be a MAN for God's sake. A programming man. Oh yeah. Must...go...code...now.

Since everyone else said pretty much what I would about the aesthetic look, I won't bother. It's redundant.
