I am currently designing a website for a teacher of mine, for his tutoring business.

Nice, but it needs to be centrally aligned in all resolutions, on 1024 by 768 it is hung to the left.

I think your overall body font sie needs sprucing up, especially seeing as your navigation font is larger than the body text.

Your counter is not really required, and is a rather useless thing to have.

Just correct a few minor errors and you've got an alright website 4/5.

It's quite nice. Although like justlivyalife said, the counter is not needed. Good start though.

Alright, let's clear this up.

I haven't even tried marking this up yet, as it is a direct slice from PS CS to HTML. It will be centered once the image is optimized and what not.

The font size is only temporary until I make the design stretch down the page, then the size of the normal body text will be increased.

Also, the counter is there because my teacher specifically asked for it! Counters aren't my favorite thing ever, either, but he asked for it, so, what can I do! :cheeky:

A comment about font-size; If you are to increase the font size, then the content text width is to increase with resolution? Otherwise I have visions of one / two word lines .

Not sure as to how I will do this yet.

I'm pretty sure that those boxes will only be on the index page, and when on other pages, it will be just content. So, on this page, the font-size will probably be somewhere around 12 px on normal resolutions, thought it will probably be a percent valued font-size/ .em.

The page will get longer, depending on text size, and how much text there is, but the width is going to stay static, for now.

If a maths teacher has to insist on a counter, perhaps you should have made it work in hex or something, just to keep him(?) on his toes...

I'm just impressed that your counter has registered 3207 visitors since a date that hasn't yet occurred. That's a damn cool feat!

I like it myself. It's simple, and not overdone.

Why not offer him a stats set instead of a counter? No one else has to see that stuff and the stats sets (even the free ones) are usually a lot better than counters.

Also, TheGame, if you attended highschool in newfoundland, I took the number 3207, as that is the advanced math (calculus) course that I am doing now.

I wrote the 3204/3205 exams last year! Boy were they brutal! haha
