    Hey,

Being very impressed with the quality of everyone elses sites, i was hesitant to post this - but have to decided to try anyway.

    http://www.thebigdesigncompany.net/01byfordorg/oliver/

That's what I've got so far for my 'personal' site. It serves no real purpose (other than to warn people just how strange I am) - it was just something I put together in Fireworks (then did a few minor tweaks in Dreamweaver) one day because i was kinda bored....

So what do you think? How does it look on your computer? Any quirks? What other features would you put in? take out? How about the interface?

FYI It's not meant to be amazingly functional, it IS meant to scroll horizontally, and, yes, it is meant to be more 'design' than content!

I probably won't do another version to be honest - I will just take your comments (if anyone is nice enough to post them!) and learn from them!

    Thankies in advance,
    Ollie

PS If you're thinking of just telling me whats wrong, don't bother, or at least tell me how to improve it! I'm here to learn from my mistakes, not be eternally damned to internet hell because of them.)

I am trying to breakaway from frames as well but it's the only way that I could think of to get the effect that I wanted (eg the new page opening, whilst 'clinging' to the bottom regardless of resolution) - if you can suggest any other way then please please please do!

    Cheers,
    Ollie

In the basics section the font is unreadable on the light blue bg...maybe iframes is what you are looking for to replace those frames?

Wow your only 15 thats a nice site. Whats the font you used? Don't really have any suggestions. In the frame you have to scroll over and when you do there is nothing there. Nice work!

    Peace :beard:

I really love the look of your site! It's unique. The main graphic looks very professional! ^_^

    Thx for the feedback!

LeaDxPainT - I've never really looked into iframes other than a quick glance - any tips or pages where i can find out how to use them for best effect

Mexican Hat - The font is called Century Gothic, a font that i believe ships with windows... I use it far too much, and with wide spacing it tends to look pretty effective.

    michiepoo - thankies very much
