Just in case people are having problems finding their way around in wordpress, hopefully this will help you guys and add some knowledge back to the wordpress forums =)

    Web Resources
    • WordPress.com - A commercial WordPress site where WordPress has implemented their software in a test-bed environment.
    • WordPress.org - The community and development website for WordPress (yes it is open source).
    • WordPress.org/extend/ - The plugin/theme website for re-distribution to the public. Post your themes and plugins there.
    • Codex.WordPress.org - This shows many of the functions and hooks that are built-into wordpress so you don't have to "re-invent the wheel"
    • MU.WordPress.org - Also known as WordPress Multi-User, this allows you to use ONE installation of Wordpress for SEVERAL blogs. This is a good way to use a company website to extend their services to blog hosting.
    Why WordPress
WordPress is still fairly young when you measure it up against other CMS's out there and it requires a little coding knowledge if you wish to modify it past the hundred's of thousands of plug-ins that are available for free download. But WordPress has something going for it that no other CMS out there has; 100% total compliance. WordPress is developed "around" the web standards, not the other way around, thus any indexing or data collection services on the web like, Google, Bing, and other search engines absolutely LOVE it when you have a site with WordPress as its backend. Wordpress completely removes ALL html errors that you could add to your site via the editors. WordPress also in turn creates feeds on your content and ensures that those feeds are ALSO standards compliant.

When it comes right down to it, WordPress aids the user in creating beautiful, human-readable websites, and red-hot, search engine, results.

Ohh wow!! Thank you so much. I run Wordpress on my blog and it is really good but also a bit complicated. I got help from a friend of mine, but now I can customize it even more.
