Hi there. I'm trying to make wordpress work partially as a CMS, and for that i need to get rid of the sidebar. I'm using the webfolio theme from Site5 (
I heard that it's as simple as removing <?php get_sidebar(); ?> from page.php, and it kinda worked.
Problem is, that even though the sidebar is gone, Wordpress still thinks it has to reserve the space for it.
Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

You'll have to adjust the width of the left column in the CSS file.

Like redefyned1 said, you will have to adjust the width of the left column.

It is not that wordpress still thinks it has to reserve a place for it, but purely that the left column has been told to be a certain width. Change the width, either by setting it to 100% or by the correct pixel size.

You will have to check and refer to the container divs (by looking at style.css) to work out what the correct size should be.
