    1. What is the best twitter feed widget to use on wordpress?

    I tried using Twitter Tools and it worked great but I couldn't figure out how to style it. I also didn't like that my twitter avatar wouldn't show.

    2. What do you write in the functions.php file?

    I had this:

    <?php
    if(function_exists('register_sidebar'))
    register_sidebar();

    ?>

    but when i was trying to style my widget I came across something online that said that in order to have control over the css you have to have this:

    <?php
    if(function_exists('register_sidebar'))
    register_sidebar(array(
    'name' => 'Twitter Tools',
    'before_widget' => '<div class="selector_goes_here">',
    'after_widget' => '</div>',
    'before_title' => '<h3>',
    'after_title' => '</h3>'
    ));

    ?>

    I got an error with this. What do yall think?

    I didn't solve my problem, but I did learn that you can just generate a twitter feed on the actual twitter site. I just copied and pasted the code into the "text" widget.

    The exact solution was to put this in the functions.php file:

    <?php
    if(function_exists('register_sidebar'))
    register_sidebar();

    ?>

    then go to twitter.com/widgets and click on the "for website" link.
    make your widget look however you want.
    It will generate some code that you can copy.

    go to your admin area in wordpress and go to the widgets area.
    choose the text widget and drag it to the sidebar.
    copy the generated code from the twitter.com/widgets and paste it in the text widget.

    This should allow you to put your tweets on your wordpress page.

    If you are not using wordpress you can just copy and paste the generated code into a div or something. It will still work.
