    I am just creating my first website using the Omniblock theme. All is fine except the image for the main sidebar+content chunk of the website doesn't appear in Firefox or Chrome - it works fine in ie. There's a gaping hole and you just see the background body image.

    My site is www[dot]quickhomesalesuffolk.co.uk/blog/

    At the very bottom of hte header.php file I have:
    <div id="page">
    At the very top of the footer.php file I have:
    <hr />
    </div>
    <div id="footer">
    and assume that /div refers to the ending of the page id

    In the style.css file, page is defined:
    #page {
    margin: 0px auto;
    padding: 0;
    width: 950px;
    background: url('images/etica-contentb.gif') repeat-y;
    z-index: 100;
    }
    Is there any other way around this for creating an image in the main part of the design?

    Many thanks to anyone who can help.

    Found the solution - eventually - after a LOT of trial and error and false avenues:

    Overflow: hidden in the Page css makes the background appear in all browsers.
