    Hi all,

    I am a newbie to wordpress. I downloaded a free wordpress theme and wanted to know how to add my logo to the header. I have tried googling for the answer but have not found anything helpful. Below is the header code:

    <!DOCTYPE HTML>
    <html <?php language_attributes(); ?>>
    <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></title>
    <?php global $is_IE; ?>
    <?php if ($is_IE): ?>
    <!--[if lt IE7]>
    <script language="Javascript" type="text/javascript">
    DD_belatedPNG.fix('.png, #mantle-dots li');
    </script>
    <!--[endif]-->
    <?php endif; ?>
    <?php if ( is_singular() ) wp_enqueue_script( 'comment-reply' ); ?><!-- comment-reply -->
    <?php wp_head(); ?>
    </head>
    <body <?php body_class(); ?>>
    <header>
    <div id="header-wrap">

    <div id="header" class="row">
    <div id="title" class="grid_4 column">
    <h1 class="title"><a href="<?php echo home_url(); ?>" title="<?php bloginfo('name'); ?><h1><a href="<?php echo get_option('home'); ?>/">
    <?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1>

    </div>
    <nav>
    <div id="nav" class="grid_8 column">
    <?php wp_nav_menu(array(
    'menu' => 'top-menu',
    'container' => 'ul',
    'before' => '<li>',
    'after' => ''
    )); ?>
    </div>
    </nav>
    </div>
    </div>
    </header>

    Thanks.

    I just did this. Replace
    HTML Code:
    <h1 class="title"><a href="<?php echo home_url(); ?>" title="<?php bloginfo('name'); ?><h1><a href="<?php echo get_option('home'); ?>/">
    <?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1>
    with
    Code:
    <h1 class="title"><a href="<?php echo home_url(); ?>" title="<?php bloginfo('name'); ?><img src="IMAGELINK.png" alt="logo" width="CHOOSEASIZEpx" /></a></h1>

    I put logos into WP headers all the time, but how I do it differs from theme to theme. If you post a link to the site I can probably tell you how to add the logo to your header.

    Sorry - misread the post and thought it was your question!

    However if the OP wants to post a link my offer stands - I'll try to tell them what to do to add the logo to the header.

    I use CSS to do it so when the WP version updates and overwrites the PHP you don't have to re-do the code.

    I tried to replace the code with the suggested new code but the default header link disappeared (I guess the I didn't have the proper link to the image source). I tried to go the admin panel and just copy the link to the logo that was is in the media section of the dashboard to use as the image source but that didn't work. I guess I should upload the logo to the images folder for the current theme. Anyway below is my link. Thanks.

    Can you tell me the dimensions of your logo in pixels? Or better, post it somewhere? It needs to go into your style.css file for your theme on line 101 - like this:
    h1 .title { background: url(http://digitalinsite.ca/dev/forums/logo3.png) no-repeat:}

    of course substituting your logo's path for mine.
