Take it its not the usual as this is not working.

Is there a way to do it manually without installing plugins?

What you have has no link text.

Forget the target unless its a page or article within your own site and you're using anchor.

No need for a plugin to create links but they should be in the proper format.

The link you have in your question will work, problem is, there's no text to actually display so it won't actually display in the browser.

If you want to open a new window, the target should be "_blank" not new

I know theres no text in the link, I was purely using it at an example. I want an external link from the website I have created to my own website.
