I'm going out on a limb here, so bear with me. I've worked (not as a web designer) for about 3 different organizations with webpages that recieved high amounts of traffic. All 3 of these webpages used customer management systems for their content and I was the "overseer" of the webcontent at all 3 companies, which means because I knew about "computers" it was my job to make sure there was updated content on a daily basis. Of course, I did not have time to do it myself because of my hectic schedule, but I was put in charge of telling people when the stuff they posted didn't look good. It never looked good. Ever.
It doesn't work because the average employee (secretaries usually) that get the burden of this work are usually completely inept at creating webcontent. For most people, there is no understanding of the web as a medium for information yet.

So even if your program (there are 100's of them out there) is very easy to use and looks good, without proper experience and training most people are not resourceful enough to communicate effectively in a web environment. So --->>>
Please do me and everyone else in the biz a favour and INCLUDE proper employee training and continued reviews of the site and their work on it as a part of your marketing packedge. This will benefit you as well as the customer. Otherwise in a year or so, your customer will catch on that he's been sold a shovel with no dirt.
