Hello there,
I have a website I'm designing with transparent divs and they work great. The regular fonts look fine and everything looks fine on the Mac and in Firefox. However, in IE 6 and 7 on the PC the fonts look very bold and jagged. Any ideas on how to make them NOT look crappy?

Has anyone else run into this? Thanks.

Will this help? I think it has something to do with anti-aliased fonts as a setting in IE, but I'm not sure. And if it is, is there anything to do about it?

My advice is to remove the opaque-ness you have there.

That is causing the IE problem, and even with FF, it makes it hard to read.
The font is too small to begin with, but the opaque part makes it worse on my eyes.

Considering the content you have, there is probably not much you can do to make
the reading more interesting ... a lot of mundane information. Maybe you can find
a better font, (and larger font), make it easier on the eyes, and do some tricks with
white space to make it easier and more enjoyable to read (if that's possible).
