Hi guys,

sorry I do not know whether this is the right place to ask.

So the idea is that I want to make a site which is capable of doing this :
1. A user upload his ppt file to a spesific site (let's say : ab.com )
2. The server (PHP?) will eventually convert the file into a .swf
3. The web will show a .swf in the web

Does any of you have an idea/ tips to do this? thank you

I do not know of a simple way to do this. If you do not mind me asking, why would you need to do this. is it for sharing power point presentations?
Is this on an intranet?

We did something sorta similar recently, except it was turning a Word document into a series of PNGs so you could view it directly online. We used scripting to communicate with OpenOffice. I'm amazed it worked.

ImageMagick might be able to do it.

For an offline version I'd recommend Macromedia FlashPaper 2. Fast and reasonably priced. However, depending on what you need, there's other options on the market, which vary in cost.

Actually useful software by Adobe; too bad it can't be used as a service of sorts.
