There are several ways to set up a forum. You can apply for a free forum form places such as proboarsd and invision free. You could download free forum and set it up on your webspace - if you have the capabilities to do it(Php, SQL etc). Or you could make one

The last option is the most difficult but allows for maximum customizability if thats a word . Dont attempt thhe last oiption unless you have good experiance with a language like PHP and SQL

Setting up a forum is quite easy, and there's a lot of opensource solutions (free) out there. You'll need a server that supports a scripting language though.

As far as I know, most free solutions are based on PHP/MySQL. I've only managed to find -1- that suports ASP/MSSQL.

So, setting up a forum physically is quite easy. Attracting members, however, is a totally different ballgame!
