Persian in java script menu

i have a drop down menu made by JS. Every thing works fine.. but i need the text to be in persian (which is almost like arabic). But when i type in persian i just get symbols.. Any way around this?

You probably have to use special characters to get around this. Not sure if they exist in HTML yet as I'm unfamiliar with Perisan lettering. Best bet may be to find a site in Perisan and ask that webmaster how s/he did it.
