I always though Perl was the way to go . . . now I'm curious, why do you use PHP as opposed to Perl? Is it worth learning if I already know Perl?

PHP is fast, very common in servers nowadays, and much easier to read than Perl. Naturally though you'll find people who swear by it, though.

Perl in my opinion, is more for server admin, etc... PHP is better for designing sites, as it is much quicker.
