I do all of my coding in ViM. I've tried various text editors, but I always seem to come back to the basic ViM and Filezilla.

Since I got my Mac, I have been using Coda, and I have to say it is by far the best advanced text editor I've ever used. I pretty much use it to edit sites though and not build from scratch.

But I have seen people use this term. When you have a large website, created by a team, all the pages should have a similar look and feel. Therefore there are corporate website standards. Whoever defines these standards is doing corporate web design.

Another terrific help is the Firefox Web Developer Toolbar plugin.
It has a ton of drop down functions and lets you view sites in a multitude of different way:
    • All browser options
    • View css files or view site without css (very handy)
    • Display forms
    • Disable or view only images
    • Display anchors
    • Validate code
These are just a small sample of everything you can do in one toolbar. After we found it, it has become indispensable.

I encourage any serious developer to check it out. It's also good for catching competition sites who are using tactics against major search engine policies.
Here is the download link. [EDIT: Link removed by TheGAME1264]
You can view it before downloading. It also works in Chrome!

    Hey dude,

We don't allow links like that until a user has at least 25 posts or unless it's blatantly obvious that the user him/herself doesn't own the site in question (which we're pretty stringent about as well).

    Thanks C0ldfire!
I didn't realize I wasn't able to post links yet. I thought it would be clear that I wasn't advertising. Just trying to be helpful!

I found that actually using Firefox add ons much easier. Check Links, Ghostery, Clippings, Measure It, Colorzilla, Firebug and web developer add on. Everything in one place! Cool!;)

Firebug is the number 1 in your list. Is it the best of them?
