One is more general, user-friendly and quicker for the average person to set up.
One is more powerful, less user-friendly and has a longer learning curve...read code-heavy.
WordPress is the former and Drupal is the latter.

What are you trying to build?

I have a friend who is a singer and she wants her own website. And i want it so she's able to add her news videos etc. I also want to fit in my own design.

I'd go with WordPress. There's lots of great Premium themes that can more than deliver such a site.
    My favorite source is themeforest.net

Don't count Joomla out. Depending on the features of the site, it's sometimes the easiest of the 3 to manage and to theme. My advice would be to download and install all 3 (Joomla, Drupal, and WordPress) and have a look at all them before you commit to any one. Installation each of them is easy and just takes a few minutes, so it's well worth spending the little bit if extra time to make a more informed decision.

I would recommend WordPress as well.. both other systems are for group administration and high volume systems. You can get your custom layout converted into WordPress for a couple hundred from a freelancer. ..

ill break it down a bit.
Drupal is mainly built with a community of users in mind
Joomla is pretty complicated for a first timer.. i have spent countless hours answering questions on how to do things.
WordPress was built as a platform to create and share content, easily added and pages that are created easily.. geared for a single user and multiple readers -and those boundaries have been long shattered with community plugins.
