Meta keywords and descriptions will have absolutely zero effect on Google though. Of course, what used to have an effect no longer seems to since they've just shaken up their algorithm and made an absolute mess of it (nice one, Sergey and Larry).

The best thing you can do is make sure your Title tag and body are keyword-optimized. Once you've got that, then it's just a matter of getting relevant sites to link to yours and you'll be set in most major engines (if not Google itself.)

Congratulations! it is not truth that meta keywords and descriptions will have zero effect in Google. But it is correct that title is important... even after Google have shaken up their algorithm.
