Your colors don't really work together, with the Gradient Green and the Gradient Red. KULER could help you fine tune your color selection. Your code looks clean, although you are missing Meta Description Tag. Your bottom links is to much to look at, and it needs top padding. Good job just working through it, with little knowledge, I do the same so I understand where you are coming from.

I think the social bookmarks could be a little smaller, I think it looks pretty nice though.
Maybe try a blue or a green gradient too.

    Chris Bennett,

So your target are tourists visiting for the London games? That should be fun. And you need to work extra hard on making it more friendly for first-time visitors. There are many rental companies out there in London I'm sure, and if I'm browsing through a bunch, I'm going to close yours right away because it doesn't tell me anything! No prices, the front page is loaded with text and misc stuff...

    You need a model: http://www.enterprise.com/car_rental/home.do

Also, if you want to make things easy, I suggest scrapping most text on the front page. In it's place, have big words saying "You can rent:" and then have silhouettes of a van, moped, car, unicycle, or whatever you rent. It communicates basically the same thing except 20x faster. Make it easy for customers.

    -R
