    I think he's just posting empty crap to boost his post count. I think he believes that having a link in a signature will give him some backlink cred with the big G. I guess he doesn't understand that this is a "nofollow" forum.

    Yeah as admin and mod you have to watch for people like this lol... I use to be an admin at a Signature forum and we constantly banned people for spam posting just to get their count up, but the reason they did that there was because they weren't aloud to ask for a signature graphic until they had at least 20 posts so people would spam all the time.

    That's not what he said at all, but since you brought it up, I might as well tell you what we're thinking.

    There are people who register on various forums, particularly any forum related to web design and/or marketing, for the purposes of "acquiring backlinks" because they think it's some sort of magic marketing and/or SEO bullet (which it's not). They show up, post 1-2 lines of absolute gibberish anywhere they can, get their signature or whatever link it is that they want, and then run once they've gotten what they want. Any attempts to engage them in a more in-depth conversation or to get them to write posts longer than about 25 words usually fail.

    As of right now, Ricky, you're in that boat. So, consider this your one and only warning...if you're going to continue to waste people's time with 1-2 sentence generic posts containing nothing of value, you're quite probably going to be banned. Start thinking before you start typing.

    Ricky.... Ricky..... Ricky..... I never said anything about you in particular I was just referring to spam posting in general. You posting this though shows that you care more that just to spam post which is good.

    Concerning my posts, I understand how important it is to have people in a forum to welcome people, ones who actually will take the time and show they care and truly welcome them. When I was an admin we had a team of mods that, that was all they did was welcome people to the community. Especially when I am to busy to contribute to the forum, I find it easy to just welcome people. On top I know there isn't any benefits to a high post count, rather. :p
