    1. It does load quite slowly for me, simply because it's so image-heavy.
    2. Good, because when I turn off CSS entirely, the page looks nearly identical. That's a bad sign because a page with CSS off should look nothing like a page with CSS on.

Re: your quote of me above, I took your hint and rewrote that entire section. It's long as hell now, but my headers:
    • XHTML Is XML, So It Describes Data (along with a couple of supporting quotes)
    • Separating Presentation Means Easier Maintenance
    • Semantic Design Increases Accessibility
    • For God's Sake, It's Easier Anyway!

In fact I think that single images load faster than many small ones.

And what I showed you was a sample of the complete markup, just minus some menu items. Incredible? Yes, that's all! (You know a page should be very small with CSS off if the actual content of that page is very small).

Here's the beginnnings of my new layout...i'm going to do a kind of illustrative silhoutte around the outside of the small square....i'm not sure which layout i'll keep...the illustrative or the collage...i've gotten alot of compliments on the collage, but i might just keep it in the web section as a style. anyways....ill do all of this in css just fo you peeps :)

I meant to say the font, layout, and style of the content of your site doesn't match the design of everything outside the main box. For example, your thumbnails could have been given a texture or border style that follows the rest of the theme. That's the whole thing about "theme" sites is that if they don't carry it through 100%, they seem disconnected.
