I have used some third party images throughout my site which are all free for commercial use as stated by the creators. I now want to state on my website that it is copyright material only. How do I go about doing this when I have images that are not officially mine. Would I simple reference them in a legal page or something? If so, can someone give me an example please!

We just did a huge mid level corporate site with some third party images and materials. We built a Credits Page for anything not belong to the corporation and listed them on the page. Everyone was happy.

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking - are you saying that you got images free from someone else and now want to copyright them so nobody else can use them? That does not make sense, especially if the images are still available free from your original sources. Please clarify your question.

What I meant was that I have a few images which are not mine on my website. I now want to make my website copyright material by stating "Copyright © 2012 Robert Liverpool" in the footer. Would that be okay, even though the images are not mine but the creators stated it's okay to use them for commercial purposes without having to reference back to them.

I think that might be OK, depending on what the website is about, and as long as you're not claiming copyright specifically on the images yourself, and won't be trying to enforce copyright infringement on others who use the images with permission from the creators of the images.
If you have access to a lawyer in your area, you might want to just verify things. Maybe you will need to be more specific, such as saying something like "all content with the exception of imagename.jpg, imagename2.jpg, etc Copyright © 2012 Robert Liverpool"
