    Don't need to pay...

If you submit your site manually to the top 4 search engines... Most of the other follow suit...

That being said, you need to make sure your not doing anything that would keep them away...

Have you checked you log files to see which ( if any search engines have been to your site yet ? )... You need to check and see which ones are already visiting... So you can submit to the others...

Most search engines ignore any automated systems for submitting your site to multiple places... Some even penalize for it... Especially if you just keep submitting it over and over...

Sign up for google sitemaster tools... Some useful stuff there ... Yahoo site explorer ? Not even sure that still exist... Kinda like webmaster tools...

There is no silver bullet answer to SEO or getting search engines to list you...

Make sure your robots.txt file is not blocking search engines from indexing... Make sure to not have any meta tags that tell search engines noindex ...

Content... Search engines are only going to index a page if it has useful relevant and original content...

    That's a start...

Just to clear something up, you don't actually need to submit your site to search engines. If you're going to submit anything, submit XML sitemaps, but I've never found them to be helpful. Google in particular has been disturbingly good at finding what I'm doing and indexing it...usually before I'm ready.

If you want to spike the process a bit, this is the one semi-legitimate argument for "link building" from a search engine standpoint...getting a link from a frequently crawled website (usually fairly obvious if it's crawled a lot by its size and user activity) can get yours crawled and indexed quickly in turn. In the case of a web design link, though, that can be a bit tricky and you might want to pay to get into one of the directories (but one that will actually generate you an ROI first and foremost...paying for an "SEO" link always was stupid and now with the Penguin update that's more true than it ever was.)

Like Webzarus said, there are no silver bullet magic shortcut instant #1 guaranteed ranking answers. There just aren't. Nor should there be, when you think about it...if everyone did the same thing, how would a search engine be able to determine who or what is most relevant to a user's query?

Google maps...it's your friend if you can use it right. You can sign up for Google Places (which is how a lot of the map information is generated), have them mail you a postcard containing a pin number, and then enter in the pin number. This will verify your physical location, which in turn will allow you the radius targeting you're after. Since your place is relatively obscure (I'm pretty sure most people haven't heard of Tinton Falls, NJ), it should be pretty easy to get an A, B, or C on a Google map for that area.

You've covered a fair amount of it just in the structure of your pages, although you may have to tweak the content since headings/subheadings are how search engines derive what your page is about to some extent (an h1 tag carries additional weight, for example).

Most important thing...never, ever, ever fall for the snake oil pitches. There are tons of them. "Rank #1 on Google by Following This Simple Trick." "Buy My Book for $19.95." "Guaranteed #1 Ranking." If it sounds pleasing to the ear and there's nothing to back it up, it's probably a lie.

Follow what Game says, you must relied there is allot to do when doing SEO, it's simple but not always easy. Also if you where going to pay for SEO it would be at least $100's if not 1000's

As what i have understand that you want to be on the top list or you wish to be on high page rank. You only have to do is to optimize your website as often as needed. i can suggest that make any of the SEO services such as Social Bookmarking, Article Submissions, Blog commenting,File sharing, Video Submissions and Web 2.0 properties and keyword research.Hopefully, this idea of mine can able to help you.

First of all, those aren't your ideas. They're the ad nauseam recycled garbage every so-called SEO spits out.

Second, it's all bad advice. All of it. Nothing in there is useful. This was true before Google started laying mass link smackdowns in April, and it's even more true now.

You don't have to submit your site anywhere. Just make sure that search engines can access it, write proper html and make sure that there is a reason for search engines to lead people to your site ( write useful content so that people actually get something out of visiting your site)

Ever hear of "bad neighborhood"... Or guilt by association...

If you don't submit, and you're hosting your site on servers that fall into that bad neighborhood association... Search engines will never come to your site as the hosting server your on has a bad rep for serving "who knows what"...

If you happen to be on one... But submit your site... And you have useful relevant content... They will put an exception into the block or ignore list for your site...

I know of a few hosting providers that had 50% of their servers on googles block list ( they don't admit to having such a creature, never will ).... Because of some spammy content and link exchange systems...

How do you know if you're site is on one of these servers ? You don't ... Except by lookng at your log files to see if googlebot is visiting your site... If the site has been up at least a month and google doesn't visit... And you're not doing anything to block them... Try submitting manually... If after another month they still don't visit, It's time to look for another more reputable hosting provider.

If you happen to be hosting on a reputable provider that monitors and removes suspicious activity... Then I agree, you shouldnt have to do anything... Build it and they will come...

But you'd really be amazed at how many sites never get a single visit by any search engine because they are in that group... Or the hosting provider is blocking them... So you purchase "search engine" services from them ( don't laugh that has and does happen too !!! )...

There is no need to pay for those things. If you want to be on the top you need to get good page rank and good backlinks to your web site.
So to increase all those you can do
    1.Blog posting.
    2.Forum posting.
    3.Classified posting.
    4.Directory posting.
    5.Social book marking.
    6.Article submission.
All this will help to increase page rang and helps you get in front pages of search engines.

If you're going to give out advice like this, make sure Google hasn't recently issued warnings en masse about this very sort of thing. There's no logical reason that your advice SHOULD work and at least one solid reason it SHOULDN'T.

From now on, anyone who gives out this advice gets the Dr. Cox treatment.
