So we launched the URoomSurf College Roommate Matching Service today! It was crazy... we had a countdown going on the site to launch it at midnight. We weren't expecting a lot of traffic, maybe 1 or 2 people who waited up... but we got 1000s of concurrent users all at once at midnight!!! Sheesh... it took the VPS down for a little while, and we had to upgrade it to 8x the size!

Pretty cool site. I'm curious what your business model is. I see that you're going to add an Amazon style store. Is that where all your revenue will come from?

I personally do not like the logo. It looks like a logo that's making fun of Web 2.0 clichés.

We've been getting too much traffic!!! The site goes down every day between 6pm and midnight EST.

We're working hard on performance optimization to prevent this from happening.

I don't think your title tag is very good for SEO. Maybe something like college roommate finder ought to be included. URoomSurf won't mean anything to search engines. Plus you have it twice. Maybe URoomSurf | College roommate finder
That makes 35 characters with spaces. Up to 66 will show up in a search result so you could even add another keyword or two.
I would also encourage you to add a description tag as this is what shows up in a search result as well and is your "advertisement" for the site. You can use up to 150 characters with spaces and "sell" your site.

A great idea and a nice site. Works well and fast. Design is good for my eyes. Loads fast and is short and to the point. We like.

URoomSurf just tied WebDesignForums for registered members (17,400), a feat that has taken over 7 years for WDF... URoomSurf did it in 24 days!

We added a chat room script. I think that's slowing down page load.

THis took 10minutes to setup...I wish i had set this up a year ago when i started the site, i might have made a few sales, ive made like $25 with adsense, 4 or 5 sales over a year would have given me more than that.

Anyways, speaking from someone whos set a store up...its quick, easy to build pages, and extremely easy to integrate (iframe)

In my opinion this is an amazing site. I can't imagine the hours of work put into to getting this site working "behind the scenes". Looks like some really detailed PHP/MySQL scripts....
For the keywords "college roomate finder" the site is on the second page on google.ie anyway. Just a tiny note: There is no favicon displaying on my Firefox? Just a tiny tiny thing.
Anyway really good site.
Oh and I like the way you slightly copied Facebook's chat script. Genius.
